Warrior Addict Ltd - Yoga and Wellness Marketplace Acceptable Use Policy

Welcome to Warrior Addict ("the Marketplace"). To ensure a safe, respectful, and positive experience for all users/customers & vendors, we have established this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) that outlines the rules and guidelines for using our platform. By accessing or using the Marketplace, you as the Vendor agree to comply with this AUP. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in suspension or termination of your account and access to our services.

  1. Respectful and Ethical Behaviour.

1.1 Respect Others: Treat all users/customers, sellers, and our staff with respect, courtesy, and fairness. Do not engage in harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or any behaviour that may harm others based on their race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic, in compliance with the UK Equality Act 2010 you can view the guidelines here 

1.2 Honesty and Integrity: Provide accurate and truthful information in your listings, reviews, and communications. Do not engage in fraudulent activities, including misrepresenting products or making false claims, as per the UK Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 which you can view here 

  1. Content and Product Guidelines

2.1 Ensure that all products listed on the Marketplace adhere to UK laws and regulations. Do not list products that are unlawful, pose safety risks, or are counterfeit, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by UK Trading Standards which you can view here 

2.2 Uphold the rights of intellectual property. Do not list or distribute materials protected by copyrights, trademarks, or any other content for which you lack legal usage rights, in compliance with the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and UK trademark laws which you can view here 

Please note that this statement includes references to the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, which is the primary law governing copyright in the United Kingdom, and UK trademark laws, which govern the use of trademarks in the UK.

2.3 Refrain from sharing or endorsing material that is explicit, indecent, offensive, or harmful in any form, such as text, images, videos, or any other media. This aligns with the standards set by UK decency and obscenity laws, such as the UK Communications Act 2003 which you can view here 

Examples of prohibited content include but are not limited to:

Explicit adult content, including pornography.

Hate speech targeting specific groups based on their characteristics.

Graphic violence or disturbing imagery that may distress viewers.

Offensive or discriminatory language and slurs.

Please note that the UK Communications Act 2003 regulates content that is transmitted via electronic communications networks and includes provisions related to indecent, offensive, and harmful material. 

  1. Privacy and Security

3.1 Data Protection: Protect the privacy and personal information of users and customers. Do not share or misuse personal data without consent, in compliance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 which you can view here  and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which you can view here  

3.2 Security: Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data. Report any security vulnerabilities or breaches to us immediately, as required by UK cybersecurity regulations.

  1. Communication Guidelines

4.1 Spam and Unsolicited Messages: Do not send unsolicited messages, spam, or other forms of unwanted communication to users, sellers customers or vendors , as prohibited by UK privacy and electronic communications regulations which you can view here

4.2 Avoid impersonating other users or providing false information about your identity. Ensure that your profile contains accurate and current details, in adherence to UK laws addressing fraud and identity theft, including provisions outlined in the UK Fraud Act 2006 and the Identity Theft Act 2008 which you can view here  

These UK laws explicitly prohibit actions related to fraudulent representation and identity theft.

  1. Effective Enforcement of our AUP

5.1 Manual Vetting:  We are a selective marketplace meaning that vendors (you) have to be invited by us or go through an application process after which we will approve or not your application.  All of our vendors will need to be aligned with and adhere to our corporate social responsibility policy and code of ethics which you can view here.

We as the Marketplace will enforce this AUP in the following ways:

- Verification of vendors IP address to avoid any forms of duplication.

- Phone call verification of vendor.

-Verification of vendors email address.

- Verification of vendor being correctly registered as a sole trader, company or equivalent and that the person agreeing to having their products listed with us has the authority to enter into a contract with us i.e. A Director, Founder or Majority Shareholder of the company.

- Manual vetting of the Vendors products listed on the Marketplace including product images, product descriptions, price and where they have access to - the Alt and Meta tags and Meta Descriptions.

5.2 Periodic Reviews: We conduct periodic reviews of vendor accounts and product listings to maintain a high standard of quality and compliance.

  1. Dispute Resolution

6.1 Conflict Resolution: In the event of disputes between users/customers or with Vendors, we encourage open and respectful communication. If a resolution cannot be reached, please contact our support team for assistance support@warrioraddict.com

  1. Enforcement

7.1 Investigation: We reserve the right to investigate any violation of this AUP and take appropriate action, which may include the suspension or termination of accounts.

7.2 Reporting: If you come across any violations of this AUP, please report them to us immediately through our designated channels email support@warrioraddict.com

  1. Changes to AUP

8.1 Updates: We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in our policies and services. Vendors will be notified via email of any significant changes.

By using our Marketplace, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Acceptable Use Policy. Violations of this policy may result in penalties, including the suspension or termination of your account. Thank you for being a part of our Yoga and Wellness Marketplace community!
