Q&A with Jerome LahoreWhere are you from originally and where do you live now?
I was born in the South West of France and after many years working in Paris I moved to Singapore beginning of 2019 and finally decided to become a full time yoga instructor. Please tell us about your story and why you do what you do.
While I was working in Paris in a stressful corporate job, I first tried Ashtanga yoga and fell in love immediately with the discipline, the routine and the breathing. Yoga slowly became my anchor during my week and quickly I found myself practising 4 or 5 times a week. To broaden my horizon I decided to discover different types of yoga from vinyasa, yin, restorative or power and attended different teacher trainings, workshops in France and Asia. While I came to yoga through the asana practice, I realise that Meditation and Pranayama are complementary tools and are also part of my daily routine. With yoga I managed to connect with myself, to connect my mind and body and to feel good. Yoga and mindfulness have transformed my life. How do you look after your physical and mental health ?
I have a morning routine which includes some stretching, asana and meditation. If I can't do this routine I feel incomplete and try to move differently with swimming, walking and I will do more meditation/pranayama. I also need a good mix of me-moment and social connections with friends and family.Tell us one of your life hacks.
