Yoga Benefits

What is yoga?
"Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees." - B.K.S. Iyengar, Light on Life
We could write a whole book on this, but to put it simply 'yoga' signifies a union, or connection between yourself and everything that surrounds you. When you go to a yoga class you will do a series of postures called asanas, designed to build strength of mind & body & give your body more energy and flexibility. Yoga teaches you to breathe deeply and to utilize this breath to overcome pain, stress, mind-clutter and to help you with your practice.
